The Serbian minister of finance, Sinisa Mali, said in the parliament today - while responding to questions from the deputies - that three licenses for crypto exchange offices are being processed at the moment, as well as that four token issuers have paid the request for getting licenses.

"I expect that in the next few weeks we will have the first licenses that will be issued. That is very important for us," said Mali and reminded that Serbia was one of the first countries to legally regulate that scene.

As he said, "slowly, but surely, that market is also developing."

"We are working intensively on a strategy of growth and development of the Belgrade Stock Exchange. I believe that the Belgrade Stock Exchange is the right instrument to support the development of our financial markets, and we are currently working on the development of a platform for trading in digital tokens, which will be implemented next year," he said.

Mali pointed out that "everything that is happening in the world will happen in that sense in our country as well," and that he expects the Belgrade Stock Exchange to grow.
