President Vucic makes statement regarding Petroleum Industry of Serbia!

President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic said today that he had an open and constructive conversation with the chair of the Gazprom Neft Board of Directors, Aleksandr Dyukov, and Deputy Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation Pavel Sorokin, regarding Petroleum Industry of Serbia (NIS).
"We have just finished important talks with the Russian delegation regarding NIS, energy in Serbia, and I am satisfied with the openness, constructiveness and sincerity of the talks. Both sides were exactly like that," Vucic in a video address published on the Instagram account "buducnostsrbijeav".
He told the citizens that there will be no shortage of petroleum products.
"It is not an easy time and it is not a small burden before us, but what I can tell the citizens of Serbia - there will be no shortage of oil, oil derivatives, nor any major energy crisis in Serbia. Our Russian friends understood our message, we understood what their interests are," Vucic said.
He added that the state will do everything that is in the best strategic and tactical interest of Serbia.
"Citizens, be calm, the state is here to fight for you, on your behalf and for the future of Serbia, and we will continue to do so successfully," stressed the president of Serbia.
NIS announced on October 9 that a special license to continue operations had not been received from the United States Treasury Department, meaning that US sanctions against NIS had come into effect.
