Putin wishes Vucic good health, happiness and success, and peace and prosperity to all citizens of Serbia
President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic has received messages from numerous foreign officials on the occasion of the upcoming New Year, and Orthodox Christmas (which Serbia celebrates on January 7), the presidential press service has announced.
President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan wished President Vucic good health and happiness, and the friendly people of Serbia further progress and prosperity.
Congratulatory message have also been sent by President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping and President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, who stated that Russian-Serbian relations are based on a centuries-old tradition of friendship, mutual respect and spiritual closeness, adding that he believes that the further development of the strategic partnership, as well as mutually beneficial and constructive cooperation in various spheres, fully corresponds to the interests of the two brotherly nations.
President Putin also wished President Vucic good health, happiness and success, and all citizens of Serbia peace and prosperity.
President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of the Republic of Italy Sergio Mattarella, and President of Poland Karol Nawrocki also congratulated President Vucic on the upcoming holidays.
President of the Arab Republic of Egypt Abdel Fattah El-Sisi's message to President Vucic included his wish for 2026 to mark a renewed commitment to reviving joint efforts and constructive engagement, guided by dialogue and mutual understanding, while strengthening bilateral relations, encouraging closer cooperation and achieving tangible benefits for the two friendly nations.
More messages arrived from President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedow, President of the Republic of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko, as well as President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Masoud Pezeshkian, who, along with his heartfelt wishes for the prosperity and well-being of the people of Serbia, as well as good health and success, expressed his desire for the two countries to be able to work on peace and security in a troubled world through joint efforts and cooperation.
President of the State of Palestine Mahmoud Abbas, President of the Republic of Korea Lee Jae Myung, as well as President of the European Council Antonio Costa, and Vice President and Deputy Prime Minister of the UAE Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan all wished happy holidays to President Vucic.
Prime Minister of the Republic of Greece Kyriakos Mitsotakis sent a congratulatory message, wishing the citizens of Serbia a merry Christmas and a happy New Year and stressing that 2026 holds the promise of an even stronger dialogue and partnership between our countries, confirming once again joint commitment to the stability and well-being of the citizens of Serbia and Greece.
UAE Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Prime Minister of Australia Anthony Albanese, Emir of Kuwait Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, King Felipe VI of Spain, King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain, King Harald V of Norway and King Frederik X of Denmark are among those who have sent their congratulations to the Serbian president.
