Vucevic: Terrible tragedy happened in Switzerland, yet no one's saying government has blood on its hands!
Ruling SNS party leader and presidential adviser Milos Vucevic has commented on yesterday's opening of a hospital in Trebinje, in the Serb Republic (RS, Serb entity in Bosnia and Herzegovina).
According to Vucevic, it is extremely important for him that Serbia and the RS stand together in various circumstances.
"The hospital that has been built in Trebinje is impressive and of great importance for the health and protection of citizens in Trebinje and in Herzegovina. I congratulate the entire RS on this investment. For me, it was significant that we were all together again and that Serbia and the the RS stand by each other's side when marking difficult dates, and when important infrastructure facilities are opened. It was an honor to be part of Aleksandar Vucic's delegation," said Vucevic.
The SNS leader also stated that "President Vucic had a very good conversation with the mayor of Mostar" - who is a Croat, about the airport in Mostar.
"The Belgrade-Mostar flights are some of Air Serbia's most profitable regional flights. The mayor of Mostar insisted while speaking with President Vucic that the number of flights should increase. I would advise everyone to listen to President Vucic's address made yesterday. He presented certain guidelines regarding geopolitical and regional events. He analyzed well everything that has been happening. What the 'blockaders' (anti-government protesters) and 'script writers' have done to us, they convinced citizens that our country is a killer of its own people," Vucevic told Informer TV, referring to the fact protesters in Serbia cite the collapse of the Novi Sad railway station canopy, that killed 16, as a reason for their protests.
"Terrible tragedy in Switzerland, yet..."
Vucevic also commented on former army chief, now opposition figure Zdravko Ponos, making a statement about Vucic's visit to Trebinje.
"I don't know what to say about that man, who made a name for himself by destroying Serbian (military) equipment and weapons, and appeared in his own Knin only to shut down communication systems and weaken the capacities. He should have shown his heroism in Krajina, not on Twitter. He will forever be riding the coattails of Dragan Djilas," Vucevic said, and concluded:
"We've been through incredible things. A terrible tragedy happened in Switzerland, but no one said that the government there has blood on its hands. When a funicular derailed in Lisbon, no one said that the government killed its own people. Only in Serbia do you have a narrative that the state did it (is responsible for the Novi Sad tragedy). They (protesters) are destroying our country. That's why this is a battle for the state, not one more term in office."
