Three Sukhoi warplanes escort Serbian president's plane in Kazakhstan's airspace
Three Sukhoi warplanes escorted Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic's plane this morning in the airspace of Kazakhstan.
Vucic left for Kazakhstan early on Thursdaym where he will said he will have important talks. Before the trip, Vucic visited Deputy Prime Minister Ivica Dacic, who was hospitalized on Wednesday afternoon.
According to the president, Ivica Dacic was "somewhat better" on Thursday morning.
"I visited Ivica this morning. The doctors say that his condition is somewhat better. I have faith in him, and now I am heading to Kazakhstan to achieve great results for our Serbia," the president wrote on his Instagram account.
He added that Dacic's recovery is in progress.
"Of course, caution is still necessary and nothing is certain, but he is better, to the joy of his family and all the people who love him, and we are going to Kazakhstan, where it is minus 30 (degrees Celsius) at the moment, so we are preparing a little differently to respond to the cold, but what is much more important is that we expect a warm welcome, a wonderful welcome," Vucic wrote on Instagram.
As for the escort planes, Vucic said this was the hosts' decision, and "probably the first time since I've been visiting anywhere that Sukhois have been deployed as a sign of the great honor toward the guests, a wonderful sign of friendship towards Serbia."
