Look at the dark clouds rushing towards Serbia! Here's when they will arrive
The sky over Serbia is clear this Monday, with hot weather continuing under the influence of the so-called heat dome. Temperatures as of the early afternoon were above 35 degrees Celsius in many parts of the country, while the peak of the heatwave is expected tomorrow, when temperatures will go up to 40 degrees in some places.
Current temperatures
The "heat dome" has subsided over Western Europe thanks to a cooler air mass from the Atlantic.
But the cooler mass is now also creating storms.
This heatwave brought record high temperatres to Central Europe, up to 41°C in Poland and the Czech Republic.
At this time, the cold front from the northwest and west has reached the western part of central Europe, along with storms, while it remains extremely hot in the east of Poland.
This cold front continues its journey further east and on its way brings clouds with rain, showers and thunderstorms, along with hailstorms, and temperatures will drop by 15 degrees and return to average values for this time of year in these parts of Europe.
As early as tomorrow afternoon, pre-frontal instability is expected in the southern and central regions of Serbia, with localized showers and thunderstorms, while on Wednesday they are expected throughout the country.
The danger of thunderstorms and bad weather is also present, along of that of hailstorms and gale force winds.
On Wednesday, the temperature will drop slightly, but it will still be hot, up to 35 degrees, and very humid.
In the night of Thursday, a cold front is expected to arrive from the northwest and along the Alps, so Thursday is forecast to be cooler by 15 degrees compared to the current weather, along with stronger northwesterly wind.
The temperature will drop to around 25 degrees in most areas.
There will also be localized showers with thunder.
Storms are unlikely on Wednesday.
It will get cooler for the rest of the week, with temperatures below 30 degrees.
