FIRST BIDS: EPS opened a tender for IT and smart meters!

With the approval of the Government of Serbia and the European, Investment Bank (EBRD) has successfully opened one of the largest tenders currently in Serbia. Differences between bidders offers are up to 20 000 000 euros

The tender for procurement of IT and measurement of infrastructure, devices and integration, which in part includes the purchase of smart electric meters, opened today and already four bids were received from renowned European companies. Three bids have participation of local companies.

The tender is open to the public and 22 bidder representatives were present.

The following four companies submitted bids:

1. "Atos" – Offer: 26,656,878 euros.

2. "Ericsson" – Offer: 31,717,395 euros.

3. "Landis & Gir" – Offer: 33,825,469 euros.

4. "Indra" – Offer: 46,500,396 euros.

The final decision shall be made after analysis and expert evaluation of the bids is done by the Tender Committee.

The project "EPS Metering", which is part of this acquisition, is financed by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the European Investment Bank (EIB). With the approval of the Government of Serbia and the EBRD, the tender was published on 15 December 2014.

All documentation, process, procedures, and answers to questions are overseen and approved by EBRD and the executive tender procedure is conducted strictly according to the rules EBRD.

We remind you that the tender documents were purchased by 39 companies, 20 of them local.

EPS emphasizes that the tender for the procurement of IT and measurement of infrastructure, devices and integration provided for the establishment of a comprehensive information and communication solutions and infrastructure, to improve the efficiency and full control of energy flow, quality service to customers in the commercial and public supply, reducing losses and improved collection of electricity energy.
