Telegraf visited this maternity hospital and we were assured in a credible chose of moms, thanks to which it found its place on the podium. At first glance it resembles a small, tucked away hotel, which shines purity and in which everyone knows which their duty for every Corner. This picture makes you forget that this hospital was bombed to the ground after the bombing.
According to the Assistant Director of Clinical Hospital Center of "Dr Dragisa Misovis" Dr. Momcilo Jakovljevic, the surgeon, staff is honored that they were chosen as the best by mothers and it will only be a motivation to be even better.
Annually, it performs about 2,000 deliveries.
- We have 24 places for women in labor, 12 beds for operations and 10 places for women who maintain a pregnancy. Given the fact that we have little capacity, we are almost constantly filled - said Jakovljevic.
Maternity hospital in which beds are in demand, it got its prize, said Jakovljevic, thanks to its superior hygiene, which, indeed, is immediately noticed upon entry into this medical institution. But also because it has best equipment.
- The rooms are comfortable, with two or three beds, with TVs and each has its own bathroom. Cleanliness must be at a level, and controls and swabs are taken. Women who come to labor here mainly look at the hygiene and not to be too crowded - says Jakovljevic.
Besides the pyramid discipline and equipment which was contributed by former manager Dragan Antic and current Ilija Golubovic, friendly and pleasant staff is noticeable, which is rare.
- Complications are minimal with us. We have a good ultrasound diagnostics, we have laparoscopic gynecological surgery and our hospital is one of the few that does not charge epidural anesthesia - recalls our source.
What moms find important as well is baby friendly environment which this hospital has, so the babies are with them all the time. Thanks to the cameras, they have a program which allows grandmas, grandpas and other relatives to watch the baby from their home.
