Agassi spoke about Djokovic for the first time: I have to say that I am shocked! (VIDEO)

Djokovic's new coach, the famous American Andre Agassi made impressions for the first time on cooperation with the Serb

For the first time Andre Agassi spoke publicly since he became a coach of Novak Djokovic, by giving an interview on Roland Garros to a former tennis player, and not Eurosport host, Barbara Schett.

Dad, what are you doing? Novak's son is wondering what kind of practice is Serbian ace doing (VIDEO)

During the Facebook interview, which went live, Agassi spoke about Novak, the impact he had on his game, decision to become his trainer and the advises he gives him before the match.

Famous American is impressed with Novak, and as he said, he is shocked how fast he learns and adopts his advice.

Who impressed you the most in Roland Garros so far?

You know, my job is to teach Novak and to prepare him for this brief period of cooperation, to give him right advises, so i can't follow him the entire tournament, nor to seriously analyze their matches. I am teaching Novak on the court, and off of it, i don't have time to watch the rest. I was a bit surprised by Verdasco win over Zverev, Rafa Nadal is also excellent and he plays better and better - said Agassi.

Are you surprised that many players above 30 years old play great?

I think that players learn during the years and that they are better and better. Everything is more professional now, much more organized and easier to be better in those years than in the past.

- I would happen often that younger players win Grand Slams, now that's not the case, because experienced players are much better prepared, and in their thirties they have a powerful body and they are prepared, and they have years of experience, many Grand Slams and that's why they have the advantage.

How it all started, you got the call?

- He called me after Monte Carlo, we talked even after that. He is inspiring person, he has a large tennis IQ, that was a chance for me to come early this year and to be here.

- You can see a lot of similarities, you have to learn what information he needs, what information he already has. I have to say, i am shocked how fast Novak learns.

It looks like you already have impact on him?

- I appreciate who he is. Training is not only sending information, you have to teach ad to believe, to have mutual trust, he is a trustworthy person and he is becoming better each day - said Agasi.

- I am doing this because i feel inspiration to help Novak. I don't take this as a job or money. I am doing this because i think its the best. I don't know if i will be able to be with him on tournaments because i have a lot of obligations, but the good news is i think that he doesn't need that, after spending a lot of time together.

How the cooperation started, he called you, how did you decide to accept?

- I will tell you what happened. After he called me i told him that i can't do it. But, my son told me i have to do it. Many players called me during the years. Steffi then said, i see that you enjoy the way you talk about tennis, and she told me to go and to enjoy a bit more. That is why i came earlier.

- I am very mentally stimulated while i am learning about him, because Novak is a special person. Also, tactics and understanding he has about the game. I worked for 15 years as a coach with my children. You are teaching and giving them what they need - said Agasi.

How do you comment season so far?

- What Federer did this season is incredible. When i look at Novak, he is 30 years old, but looks like he is 25, his body is very young and strong. I think there is a lot to be told still. Rafa is also great this season.

What do you say to Novak before the great match?

I am very detailed person, i give clear and direct advice about game realization. First you have to understand if you feel comfortable and dynamic, what you could expect the most, and how could it all go for game plan. I give him three things he should focus on the other side - concluded Andre Agassi.
