Key security risk - "Greater Albania"

Chairman of the Serbian parliament's Security Services Control Committee Momir Stojanovic said that - besides international extremism and terrorism - the key security risk for Serbia lies in the realization of the so-called Greater Albania project

Stojanovic told Thursday's edition of daily Vecernje Novosti it is not impossible for the wave of terrorism that started in Macedonia to spill over into Serbia, despite all the security measures that have been taken.

Asked who really controls the terrorists, Stojanovic said it is not a secret that the USA "relies on the Albanian corps when it comes to policy making in the Western Balkans."

Third Balkan War in the making: Serbs, Greeks, Bulgarians and Macedonians to unite against the "Greater Albania"?

"America does not have a problem with possible realization of "Greater Albania" as it is not a threat to their security and interests. On the other hand, the EU is afraid of "Greater Albania" because the project is a source of instability in this part of the world," he noted.

The situation is worse: Albania and Kosovo openly threaten Macedonia

Stojadinovic also said that all Albanian political leaders in the region are basically "one brain." "The division between them is such that some send messages of reconciliation, while the others send messages that are radical and extreme. They stand ready to give a nod to terrorists to take action when needed. That is, when they themselves get a not from outside," General Stojanovic pointed out.
