The unusual scene took place yesterday, on Thursday, 27th October, around Bogotic when workers of public-utility company in the city demolished a dam built by beavers with bulldozer in the channel for drainage along the road for Radenkovic, about a kilometer behind the Thermal Riviera.

Water could not flow through the channel due to the "building" and the water level kept on rising because the obstacle became bigger and bigger.
To prevent the flooding of water in nearby fields, it was decided to demolish the dam, writes macvapress.rs.
Beavers, after nearly a hundred years since 1920, when the last one was shot on Danube, were settled 11 years ago in special nature reserve "Zasavica".
They went downstream to Obrenovac, and upstream to Brcko. They arrived to Macva via channel Bitva in Glusic, and south upstream to Drina and Jadar, where they built their habitats.
