The game of life and death: People from Novi Sad walk across frozen Danube (VIDEO)

In the past few days, on the frozen Danube, citizens can be seen who try to walk over the frozen river.

Reporters of 021.rs were among those who saw people going down the coast and stepping on ice, walking across it and making photos.

Some of the citizens that live near the river say that they saw people going further than the coast itself, in attempt to walk over frozen Danube or to simply see how far they can go.

Even though no one of the authorities sounded yet and warned citizens not to try walking over the river.

Walking on ice is very dangerous, because the thickness of the ice is around 10 centimeters, and it can easily crack under weight. Also, the ice is not in complete stillness, but it is moving.

Let us remind you, officials in Public company "Voda Vojvodine" are trying to brake the ice by hiring the boat "Sloga" near Novi Sad and to move the ice.
