Jevrosimovic: We have qualified for the World Indoor Championships! (VIDEO)

Veselin Jevrosimovic, president of the Athletic Federation of Serbia said that there are great possibility that our country can get the organization of World Indoor Athletic Championship in 2020.

Serbia has shown that it is a great organizer of athletic events because he characterized the last European Championship in Kombank Arena as the best one yet.

- The changes of getting the World Championship are great. We have until the end of March to apply, and we have already qualified and i personally think that we have great chances, because we displayed top level or organization. There are other candidates, but we will fight to get this competition.

The last European Championship was the best one organized yet, and the biggest one ever to take place. I am a great optimist - said Jevrosimovic.

He added that the construction of athletic infrastructure is continued.

- We plan on construction another hall which will begin in next week, and that is a hall in Cuprija, because the athletic track was moved to Cuprija. I hope we will have a hall there by the end of the year. 

- Construction of athletic stadium in block 45 is planed and that should be the stadium that will qualify us for European championship in the open - said Jevrosimovic.
