Kovacevic was a candidate of Democratic People's Alliance in 2016 in the elections for the member of the parliament of the Municipality Modrica. Besides the fact that Saska Kovacevic is one of the most famous faces of the political party in Modrica and the sports public in Bosnia and Herzegovina, she is known as a champion in Karate on a state, local, and European level.
Democratic People's Alliance has two members in the parliament, one in the Home of the people, and one in the Representative house. It shares the authority in Republika Srpska with SNSD and they ensured three seats in the government.
