Our best Serbian athlete Ivana Spanovic, after winning the gold medal in the long jump on Mediterranean games in Tarragona, has another goal for this summer, the title defense at the European championship in Berlin.

Ivana entered the finals of the competition this morning which is scheduled for Saturday at 20:05 (RTS) since she jumped over the requirements in the third jump with 6.84 cm. The requirements were 6.67, and that was an easy task for Ivana.
However, our athlete stepped over the jumping line in the first attempt, then she jumped 6.56 in the second, and she showed true quality in the third jump.
Besides Ivana, young Milica Gardasevic is competing in Long Jump, and this is the first great experience for her. Milica jumped 6.26 in her first jump, and 6.00 in second, and she stepped over the jumping line in the third so unfortunately, she didn't qualify to the finals.
