On stage he was met by strong applause that lasted. Although it was expected of him to deliver a speech about the film for which he wrote the screenplay, Serbedzija sent strong words to full Sava Center on the occasion of the opening of cinema in the Cultural Centre "Vlada Divljan". 

- Cinema is something terribly significant, film became impossibly dangerous and many things that are happening today, are brought to film stronger than in theater, which is older than the movies. Belgrade was and still is a city that gave many movie directors, and the movie belongs to the directors. I'm an actor, but I feel like a guest in the film - he said.

He added that the movie is an art of director, as he called them, "weird guys", whose life begins in small cinema clubs, where they grow up on Zivojin Paunovic, Dusan Makavejev, Slavoljub Stefanovic.

- Those there, in Belgrade cinema movies are becoming phenomenal directors from Belgrade. And they are known, as phenomenal directors from Belgrade - said Serbedzija.

- It is something very significant and string in tradition of Belgrade culture. For me, movie is one of the most strongest artistic disciplines. That is why i am happy that you are opening a cinema and i am especially happy because it carries a name of such elegant artist, mister Vlada Divljan - he concluded.
