Customs officials on 16 November 2016 at the border crossing Batrovci in cooperation with the border police prevented an attempt of three illegal migrants to enter the territory of the EU among the goods.

Three illegal migrants were discovered thanks to reviewing mobile scanner device. A truck was subjected to this type of review with Bulgarian registration plates at the request of the border police.
With image analysis in the cargo section, including plastic packaging, which the truck was transporting from Bulgaria to Italy, human silhouettes were detected , so the trailer was opened and for a detailed examination, three young men from Afghanistan were found among the goods
The police took over the jurisdiction over the illegal migrants.
