Two earthquakes struck the area around Rijeka yesterday in the afternoon, where series of earthquakes were recorded in the past two weeks which disturbed the local residents.

- The first earthquake with the epicenter at Jadranovo occurred at 14.47. The magnitude of the earthquake was 2.4 on Richter scale, and it was felt with the intensity of three degrees on Mercalli's scale in the epicentral area - the Seismological Service of Croatia reported.

EMSC states that the magnitude was 2.8 and with the epicenter 15 km northeast of Rijeka.

The second earthquake of magnitude 3.2 occurred around 16.15 hours 13 kilometers east of Rijeka, the Vecenji list reported.
