Storm, which is not common for March, came from Croatia, and then across Backa and Banat moved towards Romania

The storm that hit the northern part of Banat last night will be remembered as unusual for this time of the year. Ice and snow started falling in Kikinda after heavy rain, thunders, and storm.

The storm began in the afternoon hours, somewhat after 17:00h, the shift of rain, thunders, and ice the size of a hazelnut lasted until evening hours. The storm was the strongest over Kikinda, around 32 liters per square meter. Storm, which is not common for March, came from Croatia, and then across Backa and Banat moved towards Romania.

The villagers of the surrounding villages in Kikinda remained without electricity, it was restored completely in the evening hours.

Our readers captured the scenes over the Banat plains, and our readers claim that they saw nothing like that so far. The sky over Banat opened, it was dark it the middle of the day.

The locals were stunned, they can't believe that nature is playing like this since it was 20 degrees C yesterday. Similar storms were recorded in the summer period when there were storm winds, followed by thunders and rain.

Meteorologists announce local showers for the next few days, and the clouds will move towards the southeast. Rainbow usually comes after the rain and storm, and our readers recorded one near Kikinda.
