Rama noted that he believes Albania and Serbia and their nations can do for the Balkans today what France and Germany and their peoples did for Europe after World War II.

In an interview for the Belgrade-based daily Danas, Rama said that during Vucic's visit, the Serbian flag will be displayed and the national anthem would be intoned in keeping with the state protocol for the first time.

In addition to the fact that this is the first official visit of a Serbian prime minister to Tirana, Vucic's forthcoming visit bears special importance as an indicator of Serbia's determination to continue its progress on the path defined in Berlin in August 2014 under German Chancellor Angela Merkel's visionary leadership for the Balkans, he underscored.

There is no doubt that the success of mutual cooperation would define not just the fate of Albanians and Serbs in the future, but also the fate of the project of a united Europe, Rama said.
