It broke at the half and only miracle is preventing its collapse.

To help the miracle, there are three wooden beams and three planks.

Having seen the problem, the residents came up with the idea to use it in a political campaign and to call the politicians to their place.

The only condition is to fix the bridge.

Apart from taking photos, they offer a big celebration along with a pig on a spit.

The place where they are supposed to vote is some 10 meters from the bridge, so in order to perform their civic duty, they will have to cross that exact bridge.

- God only knows what is holding this bridge! The flood damaged it, so the stanchions were undermined. They became askew, so crossing the bridge became insecure. On October 15, it broke at the half. People from 40 households use this bridge, some with cars also. 70 people have their fields over the river so they also have to cross the bridge. Earlier, emergency vehicle tried to reach a woman who needed help, and the driver could not drive over, and I understand him completely. God forbid that there is a fire in a house or a barn, the firefighters could reach us only by plane. I drive my grandson here every day. I say a prayer before the bridge and then go - said the village resident Ljubiša Pajović.

His neighbor Dragan Mitrović says that the people who put beams and planks due to a wedding also feared that the bridge would collapse.

- We had to do it like that, so that the procession would not go all the way around and that we would have the way to deliver food and drinks. This bridge was built in 1972. The people from the 3 villages, those of Ljiljaci, Oplanić, and Grivac invested their own money and knowledge and built the bridge. The engineer was the late Stevan, a farmer who knew something about building. There are metal poles inside the bridge, but the main beam is missing! Anyway, the bridge is 44 years old, and now crossing it is the same as playing "Russian roulette". May God save us all - pleads Mitrović.

Predrag Rančić, manger of the Fund for roads in the municipality of Knić, where the village of Grivac is located, said that they did what was in their power.

- We set up a sign that the bridge should not be used, but the people are still using it. We have had the meeting about future actions and an agreement was reached that a new bridge should be built there, but the weather conditions do not allow us that. We have made everything, the project is ready. Another thing we did, we asked the military to come and help us to think of a place for a pontoon bridge. There is another road on the other side of the village but the people say that it is too far for them - says Rančić.
