I WAS READY TO FACE THE PEDOPHILE: Confession of the father whose daughter went through hell

Father of the girl (13) who was kept in a hotel in the city of Zagreb by a pedophile Marjan G. (51) spoke about the horror they faced until they found their daughter.

She was kept locked in the room for two days until the police caught up with the man.

- An unknown girl told us that he recognized the photo from Facebook. We contacted the hotel right away and they told us that a girl matching that description arrived - said the father.

- They informed us that a girl aged 16-17 had arrived. I asked about the man because we knew his name, and they informed us that he had rented a room. I hung up, called the police to tell them about the location.

Parents were disappointed with the police, even though they were constantly in touch with them:

- I told them to go there and to find her, and they replied that we should go.

When the family came to the hotel, 4 police officers were already there.

- There were 6 of us. I told that we are going there, either them or us! I was ready to face him - said the father.

However, the pedophile and the girl were not in the room so the police officers waited for them.

- We found out that he had a van and that there was another man with him in the room. The worst thing is that he also has family, and that his daughter is just a year older than our daughter - said the father.

He spent 4 days without eating anything, but now he is calm that his child is safe.

- Some time will pass until we are ready to talk about this. Investigation is still in progress and we have to talk with her about everything that happened - said the father, and the mother added:

- The police published her photo only on Tuesday and the information that she is missing. These social networks are not good for some things, but now they proved useful.

The arrested man is facing charges of sexual abuse and luring a child younger than 15 years of age.

Photos and video material of the naked girl were found in his possession.

Marjan G. is saying nothing, and the police detained him up to one month.
