A woman from Belgrade found her birth mother after 37 years!
Maja Kovacevic, who has been searching for her mother for years, finally got her dream come true and found out who gave birth to her
She recently posted on Facebook a letter found next to her in 1979 at the Slavija square in Belgrade, and the people shared this photo in order to help her.

That is how she found her mother!
Maja confirmed this news and said that she is to meet her tomorrow, after long 37 years.
- I am in shock. I cannot believe that this actually happened - said Maja.
Every attempt so far to find her ended in a blind alley.
- Just when I thought I was close, bureaucracy and people without feelings create a problem - said Maja.
She had been left on January 14, 1979 in a building at Slavija square, with a letter allegedly written by her mother.
Maja left another message on Facebook:
- Please, all of you who know me and all of you who do not know me, help me find my birth mother. I was born on January 9, 1979 and found on January 14, 1979 in Deligradska street. I was taken to the home and then I went to the foster home. I have been trying for years to find out why and who left me there. Again, I plea, help me to answer this question. I am not angry, I just want to find my birth mother and to find out who I am and if I have a brother or sister. I thank you all for your time and effort to help me.
Maja shared her life story - that she had been found by a soldier Protic, but that there is another side of the events.
- I visited the building where I had been left and an elderly couple told me that I was found by their daughter's boyfriend. I located that man who is now in America, and he confirmed this. But, the soldier also stated that he had found me. Whom to trust?
She was adopted on July 1981 by N.P. who was dealing in politics and had connections in army and police, so she doubts that side of the story.
The papers from the home are full of irregularities.
It was also suspicious that the age difference between the foster parents and the child cannot be bigger than 45 years, and in this case it was - father was 50, and mother 45.
There was no official police record and she got no information from the delivery clinic.
- They did not want to give me information about the women who gave birth on that day - said Maja.
The letter she posted on Facebook was sent to her from the Center for Abandoned children, as well as more documents with many mistakes.
We hope that this woman will meet her biological mother and that she will be closer to the happiness and warmth she had been looking for her entire life.
