Bomb thrown near the bridge in Kosovska Mitrovica

Just before midnight last night, in the northern part of Kosovska Mitrovica, strong detonation sounded, when the explosive device was thrown near the main bridge on Ibar river, on Serbian side and it disturbed the citizens.

Regional Head of Operations of the Kosovo Police - north Zeljko Bojic confirmed for Telegraf that at 23:45 , on the left side of the bridge the explosive device was thrown.

- Our investigation units are on the spot and after investigation they determined that it was a hand grenade M 75, this criminal act was categorized as causing general danger, the local prosecutor's office have been informed - said Bojic and stated that investigation is in progress.

The work on the revitalization of the bridge that separates Kosovska Mitrovica on north - Serbian, and south - Albanian part, were started on Sunday. These constructions were the agreement between Belgrade and Pristina in Brussels, which predicted opening the bridge for motor vehicles from 20th January 2017.
