The Ministry of Labor and Employment said that the Serbian seasonal workers engaged in activities in Montenegro, Croatia, Slovenia, Italy, Austria, and there were some in Norway, Algeria, China, Canada, Egypt, Kazakhstan, Poland and South Africa.
- Germany mostly seeks for scaffolding installers, plasterers, painters, tilers, carpenters, installers and industrial insulator workers at thermal power plants, heat pipes,and on thermal insulation. Glass cutters are in demand and also mechanical and electrical engineers. Our craftsmen are highly respected and they are everywhere, in Switzerland, Spain, Ireland, Denmark, Norway. Only seasonal workers in construction annually from abroad bring between 400 and 500 million euros - says Goran Radic, Vice President of the Serbian Chamber of Construction and adds construction companies, if well organized, could bring up to billion to two and a half billion euros to the country.
- We have enough different profiles, this moment 100.000 craftsmen could find work in EU. Lots of our workers and engineer are working over domestic companies in Nigeria, Equatorial Guinea and South Africa. Our engineers are working for Chinese companies, and also in textile industries in China, the most searched for are designers - explains Rodic and adds that there are 20.000 construction workers from Serbia in Russia alone.
