BOSNIANS CALL THE POLICE FOR VIRTUALLY EVERYTHING: "Wife won't sleep with me", "Take me to get my curses and black magic on me removed"

The police appealed to the citizens not to abuse this number

Dialing the number 122 should mean that someone's security or health is seriously in danger, but many calls taken by the police in Republika Srpska do not fall within their job description.

KILL SERBS: A shameful message appeared on NATO billboard

Do you know where i can get chips - was the question for the Prijedor police from the citizen who actually wanted to know about CIPS, or the location for issuing documents.

The reasons some dial 122 in certain cases are so hilarious that we must wonder - are they for real? For example, the members of the Public Security Centre (CJB) Prijedor remember the bitter man who, as he said, wanted to report domestic "violence" because his wife won't sleep with him.

Get over her now, my father slammed a chain on my head - was a call to Prijedor police.

Then someone complained to CJB Prijedor that "it stinks in the next apartment", because of what he can't live in the building, and they asked from CJB to do something. From CJB East Sarajevo they said that 488 calls were recorded in the first six months of this year, and only few were under police jurisdiction.

For example, we had a call from a citizen who reports that a huge dog lies at the entrance of the building and no one can move it because of it's weight - told for the "Nezavisne" from CJB East Sarajevo.

From CJB Brijeljina they say that the number 122 is used frequently for calls which are not under the police line of work, and for example, they quote the calls of the citizen complaining about a bat entering the house and calling for police to throw it out. Asking for Bijeljina police to call them a taxi, and there are recorded calls from children, saying that they are on some address so the police officers should let their parents know.

Next to the citizens who call 122 out of need, the members of CJB Banjaluka are called daily by individuals out of boredom, ignorance and their own reasons that don't qualify as police business.

- As the most common we can list the calls of people asking from police to charge their mobile credit, to take them home, to pay the taxi, to take them to the priest so they can have their spells removed from them, or to take them to the witch to remove any black magic, they ask for police help when a sparrow flies in the apartment, a bat or some similar - said from the CJB Banjaljuka.

Police officers admit that it would be a lot easier if they got calls only focused on their line of work, but they assure that, with all the unusual calls, they still perform professionally and without pause.

The CJB Doboj appealed to the citizens not to abuse this number because, as they say, due to the open phone line police officers are not available to help people who are really in danger, and with that are not available for quick intervention.
