Serbian defense system, upon completion of negotiations on the purchase of weapons from Russia and Belarus, will consist of three rings of protection

The collapse of Croatian Air Force: The Army is on the verge of collapse!

Widest system will consist of S-300, which will be protected by medium-range missiles "Tunguska". Last line of defense will consist of Anti Air system "tor", which will be defined during the acquisition on the forthcoming visit of President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko to Belgrade.

- Every missile system must be protected by other systems, to be able to act freely. Isolated, it is exposed to enemy fire without any major chances. It is therefore important for the sides of S-300, whose range can go up to 150 kilometers, to be defended by AA systems of medium and short range. "Tunguska" and "tor", whose procurement is being negotiated, are ideal for this purpose and with the S-300 they make a unique unit, explains a source from the military leadership, reports "Novosti".

The composition of the package of weapons that will arrive from Belarus will be known in April, when the delegation of Army representatives and defense industry of Belarus headed by President Lukashenko will visit Serbia. Establishment of a mixed body of military Co-operation in the two countries will preceded the final handshake on the procurement of aircraft and missiles.

Military cooperation with Minsk will host almost the same model that was established with the Russian Federation. Airplanes "Mig 29" that will arrive from Russia will receive the most modern weapons and in the coming years will constitute the framework of the combat power Serbian Air Force.

The plan of the military leadership is that, after the coordination of all details of the handover, three Belarus "Mig" planes will be reserved for pilot training, while the rest of the aircraft will get their place in system of protection of airspace of Serbia. First two "Migs" are expected in Batajnica around mid March. Immediately upon landing overhauling will begin and their modernization in the Aeronautical Institute "Moma Stanojlovic". The dynamics of repair and a detailed plan of use, however, will be known after the refinement of all the details of the transaction - the donation of Belarus.

Selection of pilots

The Army of Serbia is preparing for rapid selection of pilots to train them to fly on "Mig 29". The plan is to make a choice this year and to begin with training of the people who will be in the cockpit of the aircraft. Ministry of Defence, at the same time is seeking a way to improve the material position of the pilot and the popularization of their calls. The process began with donation of Russian aircraft, and according to the plans of the Army of Serbia, it will be fully completed by 2020th.
