Serbia has already started diplomatic activities before the General Assembly of Interpol, which will be held in the United Arab Emirates, to prevent Kosovo's admission to that organization, "Novosti" writes.

Haradinaj retakes the south of Serbia: He called Presevo and Bujanovac "East Kosovo"

Moscow is now the main partner of Belgrade, and they will lobby in Lyon, at the headquarters of this organization, that the admission of the so-called state of Kosovo is not found on the final agenda of the Assembly which will be held in autumn.

It was announced last month from Pristina that they have a confirmation that their request has been included in the draft agenda of the 87th General Assembly of Interpol, which will be held from 18th to 21st November.

A delegation of Serbia recently stayed in headquarters of Brussels, led by the chief of police, Vladimir Rebic, who said that our country will talk with all members of this organization to convince them to eventual admission wouldn't be in best interest of not just Serbia, but Interpol as well.

The executive committee is in charge to prepare the daily agenda of the General Assembly of the World Police Organization, currently chaired by Meng Hongwei of China.

The other 12 members are from Algeria, Korea, Russia, Canada, France, Belgium, Brazil, America, Moldova, Singapore, South Africa and Nigeria.

Last autumn, the Pristina authorities abandoned requests for Interpol, admitting they did not have enough support to vote a positive decision. A two-thirds majority of voters are required to receive a new member, and from last year, when Palestine and Solomon Islands were received, Interpol has 192 members.

At the session of the General Assembly in 2010, a resolution was adopted about clear guidelines, procedures, and criteria for membership in that organization, so the countries seeking admission from now on must certify that they meet all "necessary conditions of statehood".

Palestine is admitted in that way, but, unlike Kosovo, it has the status of an observer state in the United Nations.
