The complete evacuation of the inhabitants of Jasenovik village near Nis started this morning at seven o'clock due to a possible accident situation when removing ammonia tanks that slid off from the Nis-Zajecar railway line on a kilometer from the inhabited area on Saturday.

Last year, two of the 14 tanks from the train composition were transporting liquid ammonia.
We have found 3 three girls with the dog Bleki at the entrance to the village.
- We are waiting for the car to start so we can go to our relatives in Nis. We have brought the dog Bleki, and the kitten ran away, we worry what will happen to it - said one of the girls.
Transport of animals began by truckers from the depot and they are taken to the safe location. Most of the people already moved them to a safe location.
Six locals, who are unable to move, were transported by ambulance to Nis.
The decision for the evacuation of residents and cattle was made by the Emergency Situations Center of the city of Nis. All Jasenovik residents, about 350 of them, were informed about the measures and procedures during the evacuation.
People are transported with vans and cars to the main road, from where they are evacuated by buses of Nis-Express.
The residents of Jasenovik, who have no relatives where they can stay, will be placed in objects on Nis territory. The animals will be transported to the depot on the safe location, stated in the announcement of the city staff.
"Infrastructure of Serbia Railways" informed the city staff that the moving of the train tank will be performed according to the maximum safety measures.
