Drivers from Banjaluka, to avoid paying for tickets and "close" encounters with the traffic police, organized themselves into groups and via application or social networks warn each other on the patrols around the city, written by Nezavisne papers.

Bosnia and Herzegovina FULL WITH TERRORIST CAMPS: "Jihadists get smaller fines than thieves for robbery"

"Small cold war" in this field is been going on for several months now, when the drivers created the group on the Viber application "Police stops BL", which currently have 200 people, which is the maximum number.

- The rules are the same for everybody. When someone sees the police patrol, lets the others in the group know. It is the most important to write the location, how many policemen are there and what control is it about. If it is possible to send a picture, but it is not necessary - told us one of the drivers and the group member who wanted to remain anonymous because of the subject.

According to him, drivers that are not serious, for example, writing about the speed bumps, are automatically kicked out of the group. It is considered that police should act preventive, not repressive.

- For example, if they hide the radar, that doesn't increase the safety, but only the filling up of the budget. Like this, when i know that there is a radar, i will slow down and drive with great care on that part of the road and it will be safe for everyone - concluded our interviewee.

Looking at the group and what are the drivers writing, we can see that the traffic police covers the whole area of the city, but few locations are specially emphasized with controls. Those are road widenings at car saloon "Kramar" in Lazarevac, at the restaurant "Sirano" on Laus, near Clinical Center and the stop area of "Medical electronics".

With Facebook it is possible to tract the police movement in Banjaluka, and the page "Policija zaustavlja" (police stops) has more than 10.000 likes.

In the Ministry of internal affairs of Republika Srpska say that they don't mind this or similar activities as long as they are withing the law. They even say how they can contribute to the safety in traffic.

- The fact is that the drivers are going withing the speed limit when they are warned about the police. They wear safety belt, do not use mobile phones or anything similar, they should be doing that all the time - said from the police department.
