"Serbs, I am sorry. I love you": The American living in our country sent a clear message for the anniversary of the bombing

- I'm sorry for the illegal acts that my country committed on your lands and against your people. I pray that one day the guilty parties will be forced to stand up in court for their devious and disgusting crimes against your people - he told the Serbian people

American Charles Cather, known for his blog and videos that he has been using for years to promote Serbia, had a statement regarding the NATO bombing of our country.

In the text he posted on his Facebook profile, the American, who has been living in Serbia for years, has reminded a large number of his friends and companions in that social network that, on this day, the bombing of Serbia started by the member countries of the North Atlantic Alliance.

This is his entire status:

"19 years ago today.....Clinton, Blair and NATO violated international law by starting their 3 month bombing campaign against the Serbian people. They destroyed nearly every bridge in this country, numerous factories, a few hospitals, a passenger train, power plants, the Chinese Embassy, RTS media center, numerous buildings and apartment complexes.

This illegal bombardment killed over 2500 innocent men, women and children. It crippled their economy and forced many to flee their homeland. It's too bad that larger, western powers don't have to stand trial in international courts when they violate international law.

This American, who lives in Serbia, would like to give his annual apology to the Serbian people. I'm sorry for the illegal acts that my country committed on your lands and against your people. I pray that one day the guilty parties will be forced to stand up in court for their devious and disgusting crimes against your people...well, against MY people too.

I live with, work with, hang out with, struggle with, cry with, celebrate with the Serbs on a daily basis and have for the last eight years. You'll always have a spot in my heart."

He concluded his message with words:

I love you, Serbs!
