We never had any contacts with the village, we are not used to the hard labor. One more reason why we decided on this kind of planting

Twin brothers Zoran and Boris Gvozdenovic from Kragujevac, who grew up on the pavement and rarely went to the village, bought a field near the city and planted blueberries with special system that has never been used in Sumadija. The reason is unexpected, yet vary practical.

SHOCKING CONFESSION FROM A SERBIAN MAN: How i became a social case from a leading expert in States!

Economists by profession, Gvozdenovic brothers are employed in companies in Kragujevac, and they take care of their field after the working hours. It is about an hectare of land in the village Luznice, in the half was between Topola and Kragujevac, where the brothers don't know absolutely no body

They were never farmers, and they planted blueberries which are rare in this part of the Serbia, and yet they planted them in a way no one in Sumadija does so - with the hydroponic system. They were planted in plastic bags!

Boris Gvozdenovic explains that the plant doesn't have any touch with the ground, and the most of the 22L volume contains peat and burned pine sawdust.

Bags are in classic parcels, in the ground. But we control the conditions when the best time for growth of blueberries. There is a sour peat and the burned pine sawdust that burned around 20 years ago. In that way we got the ambient that is good for the plant - Said Boris Gvozdenovic.

Irrigation system drop by drop has been made to every plant, and nutrition are transported with the system to the American High bushy blueberry. This season, the harvest was limited, but in total, they expect 5 kilograms per plant.

- We are both city children and we never had any contacts with the village, we are not used to the hard labor. One more reason why we decided on this kind of planting so we could finish our work time in our companies and then dedicate to the plants - said Gvozdenovic.

In Luznici, twin brothers have around 2.000 plants. They plan new batch of plants of 500 in the autumn.

If one can live from blueberries, they might think about moving from the city to the village. Boris' brother Zoran said that this way of cultivating blueberries, which they imported from Netherlands, is way easier and simpler.

If some plant is sick, you just move it. The sick plant is being cured in some sort of "quarantine" and if it gets better, they return it to the original place.

Current blueberries price in the market is 4 to 5 euros per kilo.
