When you look at any photo of Marko Stamatovic, a photographer from Kragujevac, you would probably bet that each photo is processed and refined. And you would lose because this young man almost did not know about Photoshop. What Marko knows is to depict a fanciful way of Slavic mythology through the seasons. He makes probes himself, so he gathered 4.000 leaves around the woods to make a dress that will represent fall.

His photographs are reminiscent of film scenes of big achievements. And it all started when an angel appeared to him one day.

- I worked with a friend on a costume of our new character, Hurkana, winged half goddess of wind. When we assembled the costume on a model, a winged angel appeared in front of us from flesh and blood with wing span of 5 meters - said Marko.

The next 5 minutes passed in complete silence, and my assistant and me were happily smiling out of joy. That is when i realized we can leave a mark of our own - he reveals.

Then, unlike mot photographers, decided to use Photoshop to a minimum.

- The reason of such decision is obvious. In this times, everything can be done in Photoshop, and its being done. Its the fastest, the easiest and the cheapest. And the process of getting the photos i make is long and laborious, especially because its all hand made - said the talented man from Kragujevac.

I am trying to get 90% from a raw photo, and i leave only slight tuning for Photoshop and some things that were impossible during work - he adds.

The third decision he made in that moment was the subject of Slavic mythology.

I think that our people has a very strange feature, and that is,we are always more interested what is happening in someone else's yard, and that is a great shame because our yard is one of the most beautifulSlavic mythology was pushed aside because of popular culture and blockbusters, with Greek and Nordic myths are described shaped as a superhero from various comics - he said.

These three decisions meant that he had to work hard to make just one photo, that is why each set caries a number of anecdotes.

-  One of those stories that is interesting is a dress of leaves. We should get a lavish dress that looks fresh, and we could not get that with artificial leaves. We wanted to represent autumn flow of colors, so we decided to pack the leaves over green, yellow to bright red. We had to gether 3-4.000 leaves for this project.

From all of them, we chose almost 2.000 leaves for the dress and we "watered" them all night so it would fresh for the morning.

- After the first day of shooting, something happened we did not expect. The leaves which were in direct contact with the body were completely dry, because of the warmth of the body. We gathered new leaves during to night to do another set tomorrow. The costume lasted for only 2 days, after which it was completely dry and wilted.

He pictured winter and fall. There are two seasons remaining.

- Spring and summer are in the process of creation and I hope that will be able to publish out both sets by the autumn. The only thing I can say is that the summer will be rich and dominant, gold-plated - says Marko.
