The Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Kragujevac filed a motion to initiate criminal proceedings against the juveniles for the criminal offense of violent behavior.

- As soon as the juvenile judge receives documents from the prosecutor's office, a hearing will be ordered in an urgent procedure, which will be closed to the public because they are juveniles. Criminal charges included three minors S.V., K.V., and D.R. all born in 2002- explains the source.

- What penalty will be imposed depends on the assessment of the expert team of the Center for Social Work, prosecutor, and judges. The personal abilities of the minor, the gravity of the offense and the conditions in which they live will be considered. Only the reprimand can be determined for them, but also sending them to a correctional institution - explains the source informed about the case.

All relevant institutions responded to this disturbing footage. The Republic Education Inspection was also sent to the school, and a disciplinary procedure was initiated against all the participants of the fight, and the violent teenagers were threatened with expulsion from the school.

- The parents of two girls and a boy who mistreated B.N. got a recommendation to sign out their children out of school because they will be expelled. A mother of one of the girls from the video told me that, who called me on the phone. She said that she will sue us if her daughter is expelled out of the school - said Zoran N. the father of the beaten girl.

- The court can decide the punishment, I will stay out of it. Their parents can think what will they do with them because what they did is not right. I think that this whole case has to be pushed to the end so the children can learn something out of this, but also their parents. They have to educate their children to respect themselves and others - said the father of the harassed girl.

THE ROOT OF VIOLENCE IS IN FAMILY

Psychologist Aleksandra Sibul says the root of peer violence should be sought in the family.

- The root is in the family of the perpetrator, but also in the family of the victim. It is possible that an aggressor comes from a violent family, and children bring their dissatisfaction from the primary environment to others.

- There is violence in every school, only some manage to cover up the case, and others do not. In such cases, a school and family psychologist should be hired and they should talk with the children and the parents. The problem of peer violence is that is should be solved systematically and there must be work on preventing in - said Sibul.

GIRLS CAN'T GO TO PRISON

On the other side, the students who were beating their friend B.N. (15) will get a measure of enhanced control. They won't be expelled because they would have to move to Kragujevac in that case.

Looking from this angle, the law protects the bullies pretty much, because they are younger minors, considering that they haven't turned 16 years of age, writes Informer.

They will be most likely put under enhanced parental control, and if that doesn't show a result, then they will be supervised by guardianship authority.

The penalty for juvenile imprisonment is only for serious crimes.

According to the law, for the act they have done, they have to be expelled out of school, but this will not happen because in that case, they have to be transferred to a school of the same or similar profile in the place they live. There are no other technical schools in Arandjelovac, and the next one is 52 kilometers away in Kragujevac, so their transfer is unfeasible, writes Informer.
