According to Bota son, the largest ruling party, SDSM, advocates for the principle of unbundling borders and improving inter-relationship relations.
- SDSM adheres to the principle of not changing the borders on Balkans. SDSM politics is oriented towards the integration of the whole region, the building of friendship, development, and improvement of relations with neighbors. This is the only way to go towards progress and prosperity, which is in the best interest of all citizens - they said in the party.
These topics should not be discussed, because the region is on the path to integration into the Euro-Atlantic structures, according to the party of the Albanian Democratic Union for Integration, DUI.
- President of the party Ali Ahmeti, spoke about that subject several times, about changing the borders, saying that the region is currently on the right track for peace, stability and Euro-Atlantic integrations, and economic development, and because of that the scenarios which promote the domino effect all around the region shouldn't be discussed in public discourse - DUI stated.
The opposition VMRO-DPMNE is also opposed to changing the border, according to Dimce Arsovski, a spokesman for the party, and Blic reports.
- We are against any border correction - he told for Alsat M.
- It makes no sense to trade with our land. Albanians have no more territory for losing, on the contrary - they said in the party.
