Biljana Kokic (32) from Brod is a single mother with 10 children, and everyday the family needs at least 33 meals

SHE WAS PREGNANT, AND THEN SHE FOUND OUT ABOUT THE TERRIBLE TRUTH: Doctors pulled a 8 kg tumor out of her stomach and daughter Sofija!

Five children goes to school, so they need school supplies and hygienic supplies which are harder to get by. Now they are subtenant but they don't pay rent. Biljana hopes that this is not a permanent solution.

- However there is hope that this family sees the roof over their head - said from the municipality.

In Kokic family, the oldest child is daughter who is 13 years old and takes the greatest burden with her mother.

- She takes care about all children, takes them to school, helps around homework and besides everything she is a excellent schoolgirl - said Nadezda Ristanovic, psychologist in the elementary school "Sveti Sava" from Brod. Teachers also help family Kokic. They started the campaign for five children in school and one meal is provided for them in the school. However, they dream about the roof over their head.

- I want my children to have their home - said Biljana. The family is getting 250 marks a month from Child protection program for two kids distracted in development.

The municipality with the republican Ministry for displaced persons and refugees has agreed to build this family apartment of 80 square meters.

- Within the apartment building, one of the largest housing unit would be given to the family Kokic - says Gordana Brkovic Vujic, director of the Center for Social Work.
