According to the newspaper Alo, inspectors have identified Romani man who falsely is posing as a sheikh from Dubai and his fellow citizens in southern Serbia, who introduced himself as a translator of Arabic, who robbed gullible citizens of their money by selling copies of luxury watches.

The latest target of these bold and unscrupulous scammers was an older gentleman from Nis, and they sold him a copy of a watch for 8.000 euros. They took advantage of his naivety and trust and took almost all of his savings.

They knocked on his door unannounced and scammed him quickly.

He adds that the replica watches sold like hotcakes:

- They showed the fake watch manufactured in China to the man, and claimed that it is a new luxury model. Starting bid was 16,000 euros, however, the pensioner bargained and reduced the price down to 8,000. As soon as they got cash, they disappeared without a trace. The son of the pensioner was suspicious and he took the watch to check it and received confirmation that the watch was worthless - says a source from the investigation.

An exhaustive description of fraudsters helped the police to identify them but they have not been arrested, because they disguise themselves in new costumes.
