Second grade students held a lesson to all mayors: His assignment shocked Serbia!

The tradition states in Sremska Mitrovica that, on the occasion of Universal Children's Day, a competition should be announced for all pupils of second grades of elementary schools on the subject "When i grow up, i will be a mayor", and this year's winner is an assignment from Ognjen Kostic (8) from Elementary school "St Sava" in Lacarak.

- When i grow up just a half of meter more i will be a mayor of a city i live in. Maybe i should be strict, grumpy and a bit angry when i become the main man in town. Maybe i should boss around, to control and to be a hero of the city, but i think i won't. I would like to be in some balloon hall to play a game with my schoolboys.

I know for sure that they would like my idea to make a good movie theater and a good Galaxy - game room and to spend their free time in it. My city would be a city of freedom, city of cleanliness, the city of artists and city people of good will. I therefore i tell you, just a little bit more, just half a meter and I will become mayor - wrote this pupil in his assignment, who's predecessor on the position of "little mayor" is his peer Marko Celap.

The handover was attended by heads of the city administration and Mayor Vladimir Sanader, who promised to open a new swimming pool and underpasses in the next year and took them on a tour of headquarters of Police Department.

They could hear from the future colleague interesting suggestions what the city could do to make the elementary school even better for pupils. 

- I would like for Mitrovica to get a hall to play football and to train and for schools to have better classrooms - said Ognjen Kostic.

We only have to wait for him to grow half a meter.
