Slovenian Bishops' Conference and the Islamic Community of Slovenia condemned the graffiti "Allah is great" and "Sharia Law" as a provocation and vandalism, which appeared on the wall of the chapel of Holy Saturday at Smarna Gora near Ljubljana.

Mirjana is praying to the Our Lady, and then the howling starts and SATAN is heard: Is this the new miracle or just trick in Medjugorje (VIDEO)

The graffiti was recorded two days ago and the police was warned about it, reports Hina.

On one of the outer walls of the chapel vacationers have found a message written in capital Latin letters "Allahu Akhbar" (with a superfluous "h" in other word), and on the second "Sharia", which some interpreted as a message to the Islamist threat to the Slovenian Christians.

The media report that vandalism on religious buildings in Slovenia is not so rare. Slovenian police said it collects information about the event which was condemned by the public.

Islam community in Slovenia was first to react in a short statement strongly condemning the vandalism as unacceptable, adding that the police should  reveal the perpetrators.

Slovenian Bishops' Conference said it was an act directed against religious tolerance and an act state organs should investigate and sanction.

Hina states that some right winged portals and associations see this as the evidence about alleged growth of radicalization of Slovenian Muslims, mostly immigrants from Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Ales Hojs, Minister of Defense in the government of the former PM Janez Jansa, said on his Twitter account that the chapel in Ljubljana resort was "desecrated with Muslim slogans" and he wondered why the police do not respond more vigorously.

Hina reports that the provocative graffiti are not rare on churches in Slovenia, but until now, they did not have "Islamist" messages but they were kind of political messages sent to "clergy" or to "clero-fascists".

Few heavier provocations were recorder last year in Slovenia directed against certain religions. On the construction site of mosque in Ljubljana, pig heads were thrown on two occasions, and allegedly some crazy person destroyed with a hammer Baroque wooden statue of the Mother of God with the baby Jesus in the church in Kopar.
