BELGRADE DOESN'T REMEMBER THIS KIND OF WINTER: Capital in deep minus temperatures for 30 days

Serbia and Belgrade have been below minus temperatures for almost a month. Even though everybody couldn't wait for snow and winter magic, no one expected for period of very low temperatures this long.

The last time thermometer showed temperatures above zero was on 27th December of the last year when it was three degrees.

According to meteorologist, we can expect better weather condition in the next week, until then, we will still shiver and count the day till first spring sun.

Auto Moto Association of Serbia sent a warning, stating that cold weather will be until 30th January, with moderate, and somewhere strong frost.

Temperatures will be pronouncedly low (from -12 to -5 degrees Celsius), and -15 is expected in the night between Friday and Saturday.

Snow, which fell at the beginning of January has overwhelmed the entire Serbia, it surprised everybody, and some municipalities in Serbia even declared emergency situation. After that wave, there was no snow, but the ice caused major problems to the drivers on the roads in Serbia due to very low temperatures.

That is the reason there was a big pileup yesterday near Dobanovci because of the ice, there was a crash involving more than 30 vehicles and one person lost his life. 

We appeal on all citizens to be cautious in traffic!
