Many studies have shown that aronia has anticancer activity, because it "kills" malign cells in the tumor of brain, lungs, breast, colon and liver. Besides that, aronia slows down the aging process and prevents development of chronic diseases.

Growing aronia in Croatia is a hit in fruit production and many farmers oft for planting this plant, because they incur significant incentives from European funds.
- After the Croatian accession to the EU, manufacturers were allowed easier placement of goods on the EU market. Most often, the manufacturers themselves are finding buyers. Aronia as popular culture and sought of culture has no problem regarding the purchase and sale of all products - said Tomislav Hodalic, associate in the Croatian Agricultural Chamber.
Unlike Croatian farmers and attention to the state, BiH still has no sense for organic production.
The largest producer of aronia from Celincac, family Mihajlovic is considering to withdraw from these business because its doesn't pay off to make juice if they can't sell .
- When we started planting aronia, we got around 30% of the invested money from the Ministry of agriculture, to raise plantation. However, the placement of aronia is not good, first of all, because there is no one to process it in Republika Sprska. We are working on aronia in Sarajevo, which is a big expense - said Nada Mihajlovic.
She said that the problem is that the home products are not protected, so you can buy aronia from Germany, Serbia or Poland.
