Nemanja Sekulic (36) makes small fairy tale editing photos in the basement of a house on Banovo Brdo. With relaxing music and two computers, this highly imaginative man from Belgrade creates a different world.

Nemanja gained followers across the globe (http://nemanjasekulic.com). Fans watch him on YouTube, where he publishes snapshots that reveal some of the secrets of his craft, but also on Facebook and Instagram, which are full of his work, 3D works and video recordings.

You will see illustration of fairy take of the princess and the frog, girl who has a bird house on her head, secret agents, characters from cartoons and movies, and many commical and serious situations from our lives he presents on his own way. Those are commercials for banks, beers, football clubs.

Although it all looks simple and easy, as it is with all professionals, there are years of experience and work behind Nemanja, learning and daily dedication to the work he loves.

Only your imagination and knowledge of the tools of the program you are working in are the limits in the photo-montages. When a client wanted a cover of his poem book to be a woman with a bird house on her head, i spent eight hours drawing one hair at a time. I "tailored" a 3D dress to a princess with a frog and dressed her in it. I traveled to Thailand, Paris, Germany, because it was more profitable to the client for me to go there, make everything, make a background and do the montage, instead of sending the team of people who will appear on the photo.

His parents supported him the most at the beginning, sister and brother, while friends told him that he is dreaming to much and that he is wasting time in work with no profit. He was persistent, he endured and he wanted to do what he loves. Now those who didn't believe in his vision congratulate this enthusiast on what he learned and the position he  has in this art.

- I knew that if i am going to do this, it will be like prison. That is why i chose working for myself, not to have work hours (even though i spend over 12 hours in the studio) and that i feel fulfilled at the evening, even though my back hurts. I can't wait for the morning to continue working on my projects, that is my passion. I am like some impatient child, who wants to play with his toy - explains Nemanja.

I got a CD with a program for photo processing for my 20th birthday. I discovered two tools to work, i took photos of my dad, landscape of a mountain, picture of camp fire and a riffle and i "put" them all in one picture.

- My dad was amazed when he saw himself with a gun on his shoulder, sitting by the fire in a mountain. It was amateurish, as if you cut the photo with scissors, and i am doing this on a much higher level now - remembers Nemanja and reveals that when he purchases new, at the time modern camera Cannon A70, he realized that photography will be his life's calling, and not the Faculty of Electrical Engineering he was studying.

Desires grew with imagination. To buy better camera, he needed much more money, so he decided to earn them. Without asking the owner of a gym, and knowing he needed a website, he made an internet presentation in advance and offered it to him.

The owner got the website, and Nemanja the best equipment to work.

- Advertisement about my photo skills started spreading from one to another, and i started taking photos of my friends, friends of my friends who knew me. After some time, i started posting and selling photos on iSTOCK, with constant learning and work on myself. Soon, i realized i moved away from what i loved the most - putting together unrealistic things in a single photo.

First Nemanja's photo on the Internet was a bomb, it was a picture of a business man who is splashed by a bunch of papers, which symbolically meant overflow of information. The main actor on the photo is Nemanja, who posed with a friend and cropped and assembled paper model for hours.

- I stopped working for others in 2012 and i dedicate myself only to my work. I work directly for the clients who find me over the internet or some mediator. What is do now is called conceptual photo manipulation, or photo montage. Point is to make beautiful, interesting photo, to be believable and to looks like it was made where it was made. Of course, everything that looks futuristic and like a fairy tale has to be pure montage. I learned to work with 3D technique and i put it in the photo.

He likes working with foreigners the most. They respect his time, they come to the meeting when it was planed, they change the plan maybe once, and not from the roots, and they pay when they make an agreement. Everything is simple, pleasant and without stress.

He is the only artist in Serbia who is dealing with photography in Serbia like this, and he is unique because he knows over ten programs to work on.

- Everything is possible in life, but not over night. You have to be persistent, to survive a lots of ups and downs, and every time you fall - to get up. It is important to always go forward, and never to stay in a single place. You have to learn your entire life. No matter i am doing something a lot of people is already doing, competition is great and you need to constantly work. It is a mistake to copy others. Who wants to surface has to be original and to give his personal stamp to his works - said Nemanja in his story for soul.
