Nikola Tesla spent his earliest childhood in the place Smiljan near Gospic, and there is a Memorial Center here today where visitors can meet with the life and experiments of this great inventor. The crew of IN Magazine visited this center and talked with Mile Corak on that occasion, the curator of Memorial center Nikola Telsa.

By playing in the nearby stream as a child, Tesla sensed the power of water flows.
- He was very curious as a boy, he would jump off of the barn with an umbrella when he was a boy, and it didn't end well - said Mile Corak.
There is a monument to him which is 2.2 meters tall, reports Dnevnik.hr.
- It is interesting that Tesla was a very tall man, and according to the people who knew him, he was 199 cm tall - he said.
