Sarajevo portal Klix.ba writes that the news about the death of the "King of folk music" Saban Saulic came to all countries of the former Yugoslavia with lightning speed, leaving many people who loved his music in disbelief.

- During five decades of successful career, Saban Saulic left an indelible mark in the history of folk music, and his songs are a symbol of a time and part of the musical anthology of this area. Due to the extraordinary voice capabilities, the audience and critics called him the king of folk music, claiming that there is no song that Saban cannot sing - said Klix.ba in one of several articles.

Croatian portal Index.hr states that the "King of folk music" left a great mark on the Balkan scene with numerous hits and they listed 10 songs which will be never forgotten. Some of them are "Dodji da ostarimo zajedno", "Zal", "S namerom dodjoh u veliki grad", and others.
