German government has started a program "Jobs for workers from the west Balkans 2016-2020" where the workers from Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Montenegro are to be treated the same as the workers from EU countries!

- The most important information is that the German government has made relieves for our citizens. They are to be treated equally with the workers from EU countries. Now we do not need to translate our degrees, which was a big problem in the past. Back in the day one as obliged to re-qualify, to have additional tests and work, this was very expensive and it took a long time. Now, this is a thing of the past - explained he.

The next one is to know the basics of German language.

- It is necessary to have A1 level at least without any additional tests and fees - says he and emphasizes that the worker has a right of joint families, which was impossible in the past.

The procedure itself lasts about a month.

- First you have to find an employer in Germany. You can do that by sending your CV to the  advertisements or your friends can help you. Germany appreciates our workers. After this step, you sign a contract with the employer and you apply for a work permit, which lasts about 15-20 days. You usually get this permit for a period of 3 years. The last step before going is a week more where they have to wait for the reply from the Consul's office after they have got all the necessary papers - concludes Mehmedović and stresses the fact that the application process is completely free of charge, and that more than 250 workers have entered the process in this year.
