Milica is a true hero of Serbia: She did more for little Olivera (10) than anyone could imagine!

Milica Ignjatovic (35) is a proof that there are still great people who would do anything for others. She was touched by a story of Olivera's (10) life and she decided to give her apartment to Olivera's family on Cukarica for some time, where she currently lives with her family. And that is not the end, she offered to pay the bills for Markovic.

- I can't believe that no one that lives in this town offered their home to Olivera's family, because they are still cold, that is not a house, when i saw the place where they live in, i was stunned. I understand that they temporarely need an apartment and i decided to move out for some time with my family and to let them live in our apartment as long as they need it, actually until the state does something to help them - said Ignjatovic, writes Alo!.

- I am really stunned with the situation, their story deeply shocked me while i was watching the the TV, and i turned off it three times, however, i watched it till the end... I am a mother myself, i am sensitive to everything regarding children, so the thought of a girl, sleeping in cold, almost clear sky, saddened me. I couldn't sit down calmly, i had to help them. There are so many businessmen in this city, rich and powerful people... - continues this humane woman and adds:

- I wondered if really no one could lend them a garage for some time. Everything is better than a current place they are living in.

- I am living in this apartment with my husband and son, however, we will move out to help the family settle in. We will leave everything, entire furniture, bed sheets, towels, they only need to bring tooth brushes. We are giving it to them totally free, the money they would use for apartment they can invest in food. We offered to pay their bills, but the family refused that - said Ignjatovic.

Ignjatovic's gesture almost brought tears to the eyes of Olivera's teacher who started the whole action of gathering help for them.

- All i wish is to see Olivera in warm and that she is happy. This is the proof that lovely and humane people exist. Good news is that they are among us. We asked in Social services for appropriate apartment, however, only the city can decide who gets social facilities so we will keep dealing with this question. At first we thought to move the family ti Lajkovac, at the relatives who offered to help them, however, because of school, friends and environment she was growing up this option was better for Olivera. 

- Milica offered clean apartment purely out of humane reasons, she even wanted to pay for the expenses, however, thanks to many people of great heart that made payments on Olivera's humanitarian account, we have that much. Municipality Cukarica provided free legal aid and thus regulate the contract for temporary use of real estate, for the time being, until the state helps us, and i hope it will - said the teacher.
