Serbia will be represented by 12 male and female athletes who have met the standards for the European Championships in Athletics (3 to 5 March) in Belgrade Arena.

Jevrosimovic revealed: We did more than it was asked from us, everybody is amazed with professional organization of the championship (VIDEO)

These are: Ivana Spanovic (long jump), Asmir Kolasinac (ball), Amela Terzic and Goran Nava (1500 m), Tamara Salaski and Milos Raovic (400 m), Lazar Anic and Strahinja Jovancevic (long jump), Mihail Dudas (Heptathlon), Dusan Makevic (3000 m), Milica Emini (60 m hurdles) and Milan Tirnanic (60 m).

Of course, most is expected from Ivana Spanovic who is officially second in Europe in the hall, and the first in the open. In the Balkan Championships she jumped 6.96 and showed that she is in shape. Her best result in the hall is 7.07 meters and now she wants to break it.

In addition to Ivana, we place great hopes in Asmir Kolasinc who once was the champion of Europe in the hall in Gothenburg in 2013, while in 2015 he won the silver medal.

His personal record in the hall is 20.91 meters.

Another athlete who can bring a medal is Mihail Dudas in Heptathlon. Four years ago in Gothenburg he won the bronze in the heptathlon, but after the experience at the Olympics and bronze at the European Championships in the open, he must have better chances to please us. His best result in the heptathlon is 6,099 points.

Among the other competitors a lot is expected of Amela Terzic at 1500 meters. She was champion of Europe up to 23 years old and this is her second appearance in the senior competition at the European Indoor Championships. She performed two years ago in Prague and took 16th place but at 3000 meters.

Tamara Salaski and Milos Raovic (400 m) will represent us in the middle lines. They will have fierce competition so the first goal is to enter the finals, and after that, what happens happens.

Tamara Salaski ran 52.99 two weeks ago which is her best result in his career and the first time below 53 seconds. If she manages to drop even more time for few hundredth of a second she can hope for a good placement.

Lazar Anic and Strahinja Jovancevic (long jump) will try to reach the finals and then engage in the fight for medals. Anic is the champion of Serbia with 7.88 meters.

Dušan Makevic will be our representative in the 3000 meters and he recently set a personal record of 8,03,32 minutes in Boston. With this time he has a chance to reach some of the medals, if he manages to run again like that.
