3.000 lanterns were released in the cheerful and smiling atmosphere.

- The idea itself to help make the presents for the children is really nice, we are especially happy because we are helping the Department for prematurely born children in this city. The least we can do is make a wish and to release a lantern. We were here last year as well. A beautiful manifestation - said Dijana Stanisic.

The organizers are speaking about the this year's festival beside the positive reaction people from Novi Sad.

- This is an incredible opportunity that shows that people of Novi Sad care to help the children across the country. We marked the day of prematurely born babies by symbolic releasing of the purple lantern, and now, we released 3.000 more in order to help the children, but also the institutions that need our help. We are very happy with this year's festival, and now we can say that we fulfilled our primary goal and that we are sure that the festival of lanterns is becoming a traditional manifestation in Novi Sad - said Sandra Bulut, the activist of the foundation "Smile as a gift".

The students of the Faculty of Law in Belgrade were the first to start spreading their mission, back in 2006, to help the children on Kosovo and Metohija, and the actions quickly spread all over Serbia.

The foundation has helped many individuals in their fight for health during the years (by activation SMS numbers, organizing humanitarian manifestations), families (food donations, clothes, shoes, house appliances), basic institutions, (computer donations, school boards, teaching material, books) and many others who needed help.
