The commercial has a story, which is truly wonderful for today's time and would fit into 5 seconds today, but it was revolutionary back then. Commercials like this were shown in cinemas. There was no television and cinemas served as a took for information about the latest events in the country and the world, new products and the current happenings in general.
These commercials were very seen at the time, especially after the 1927, when the first sound movies were played.
If you compare this commercial with today's, the idea about advertising cosmetic products hasn't changed that much. This commercial reminds on the one: "Why are all the men in my line?", "Its not me, its my Schauma".
