Young Serbian chef Mladen Prsic won the title of the best chef in the world during the four-day international cooking competition Gastro Mak, which was held in Strumica, southern Macedonia.

The Bosnians made the largest burek: It has 650 kg, they used crane to lift it, and now they are fighting for the Guinness book of records (VIDEO)

Chefs from Serbia won almost all other awards in various categories, and they won the award for the youngest contestants.

In the competition of 300 cooks from 35 countries, Serbian chefs have demonstrated their knowledge, skills, and crafts in their work, dazzling chefs from other countries of the world.

- This is a great recognition for me and it is also a great honor to win the first place in the competition of international character and importance. It is even more important that I am aware of who are all the judges and what kind of reputation they have - said Mladen Prsic.

The cooks from Serbia say that the persistence and imagination were crucial to combine everything together in their triumph. And the judges wanted to see just that.

Because, as they say, it's not the same as what they can see on the internet. It can be seen live, feel it and try our skills and taste, combined into one.

Giorgio Diana, world master chef was very pleased with the competition of the chefs from all over the world and he is glad about the fact that more young people are in the cuisine.

- They have shown great skill in their work they have acquired through a lot of effort and love for the kitchen - Diana said.
